If you are planning to visit the beautiful department of Magdalena I recommend you the best place to go, Santa Marta which is the capital city of Magdalena in the Caribbean region. This city is very well known because of one amazing landscape Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. There are among 120 species of mamals such as giant anteaters, white-bellied spider monkeys, white-lipped peccaries, red howler monkey and 628 bird species, some of them are the Andean condor, Blue-Knobbed Curassow, black solitary eagle and a lot more. Nature isn’t the only reason why Sierra Nevada is the best place to go. If you have the chance to come you´ll learn a lot about some indigenous tribes who inhabit these lands including the Ikas, the Wiwas, the Kogis, and the Kankuamos all together they are more than 30.ooo people, if you want then to teach you about their culture they will do it, but remember they don´t have all the technology you have so you will have to be patient.
