It represents the craggy geography that makes the canyon of the Dagua river and one railway that was the beginning and develop of the municipality.

Yellow to mean riches of gold

White to mean the friendly spirit of its people.

The green to mean the majestic canyon of Dagua and its farming riches,

 TYPICAL FOOD: Tamales and Sancocho de Gallina

FAIR AND CELEBRATIONS: 

* Meeting of music Andina Colombiana and Suramericana.  This event is in El Queremal and the first version was in 1.987.

*Feria de la Piña, this town is the principal producer of pineapple of southwest Colombian.
