This municipality was founded in August 15 of 1953 in the Guarama Valley in name of the Marques Francisco Pizarro by the Mariscal Jorge Robledo.
Tourist places: Balneario la Berraquera.
Fairs and celebrations: Aniversary party, Bordado and Calado Party in August.
Extra Information: It is located in the north of Valle del Cauca , at 1.035 mts and has an average temperature of 23 celcius grades :Most of its territory is mountainous. Agriculture , cattle raising, panela trapiches and hand crafts are their main economical activities.
