Alcalá


This municipality is located in the central mountain range, in the North Eastern part of Valle del Cauca. Its land is irrigated by Rio la Vieja and the Los Angeles brook.
People from Antioquia started this municipality.It was founded in 1919.
The economy is centered on tourism because it is very close to some theme parks (Parque del Cafè and Panaca, which are in Quindio), cattle raising, and agriculture.
It is one of the smallest municipalities of our department. It is located near Cartago, Ulloa, and Quimbaya; this last one belongs to Quindío department. Alcalá was founded by Antiochian colonos and sponsored by Don Sebastián de Marisansena.

  1. I thing this is a interesting think I never in my life had seen that municipality i would love to have the experience to go and see how looks like that place how the weather is i want to seen it.
